Rainy River, get ready to Celebrate, Remember & Fight Back Friday, June 6!
What’s your favourite Holiday? Is it Christmas? Halloween? Maybe you love to celebrate St. Paddy’s Day? Why not celebrate all of them and join the movement to fight back against cancer at the same time?
This year’s Relay theme is “Holidays” and we don’t mean the kind you want to take right now to get a break from this cold winter weather! Teams are encouraged to pick their favourite calendar Holiday and decorate campsites keeping with the theme. It is a fun-filled overnight experience you will never forget all in the name of raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.
We would like to see a lot of calendar Holidays represented, so choosing your holiday theme is first-registered, first choice! We already have three teams registered!
Relay For Life is more than a fundraiser – it’s a global movement against cancer, taking place in 20 countries worldwide and over 500 communities across Canada. The inspirational, non-competitive, 12-hour overnight event brings you and your community together to celebrate life and fight cancer. Relay For Life has a festival-like atmosphere that your family, friends and co-workers can enjoy – regardless of age or fitness level. Visit relyforlife.ca to register a team, raise funds as a participant or donate.
For more information on registering your team please contact Georgia Kreger at 488-5778. If you are interested in working on the committee, please contact Melissa Jenson at 852-4576. Help us work toward a future where no Canadian fears cancer.
