Rose Annie (Kolyser) Roe, 105

Rosie Annie (Kolyser) Roe passed away on January 22, 2015 at the age of 105 years.
Rose was predeceased by her husband Eric Roe, her parents John and Lena Kolyser and all of her siblings.

She is survived by her nephews Les Ivall and Frank Books (Carla) of Rainy River and nieces Doris Mykietowich, Ruth Predinchuk of Winnipeg, MB and Jeanne (Ron) Magson of Surrey, B.C.
Rose worked at numerous jobs during her life. She was a well liked waitress in the C.N. Hotel. After Eric came home from the war they moved to Toronto where they bought a bakery which they owned for about ten years.

After they sold the bakery she finished her working years in the kitchen at one of Toronto’s hospitals.
After they retired and moved back to Rainy River and bought a place on River Rd where they resided until Eric’s passing. Rose then moved out to B.C. for a few years.

She returned to Rainy River buying a small house on 2nd Street where she lived until making the move to Riverview Apt and then to the long term care unit.
She was a member of the Seniors Wednesday group which she attended faithfully. She will be remembered for her love of dancing and her stamina. Rose loved the outdoors, camping and her birds, especially her canaries. She enjoyed a simple, healthy, active life and loved to socialize.
Rose has been cremated and a service will be held in the spring. Rest in peace Rose. You will be remembered.
