Mary Emma (Mae) Stidston

In loving memory of Mary Emma (Mae) Stidston, 98 years of Rainy River, ON who passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2002 at the Rainy River Hospital in Rainy River, ON.
Mae was born on September 6, 1903 to the late Henry and Sarah Primmett in London, England. She moved to Canada with her family at the age of 3. She was united in marriage to Sydney James Stidston in 1941 and together they lived in Winnipeg and then moved to Selkirk, MB. After he passed away she moved to Rainy River to be closer to her daughter and her family. Mae was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Major Hughes Br 54 and an active member of the Activity Depot in Rainy River, ON.
She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Sarah Primmett; husband Sydney Stidston on December 24, 1981; son Lloyd Frederick Smith in June of 1985; sisters Jean Graham and Florence Baker and brothers Harry, Norman and Allan Primmett.
Mae leaves behind her daughter Doreen (Dode) and her husband Donald H. Budreau of Rainy River; grandson Robert Budreau and wife Rena of International Falls, MN; great granddaughter Danielle Budreau and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday April 29, 2002 at 1 p.m at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Rainy River, Ontario with Pastor Pat White officiating.
The honorary pallbearers were Frankie Wilson, Pearl and Joe Ivall, Helen Madill, Debbie Medwechuk, Irene Neddo and her fellow members of the Rainy River Activity Depot.
