So sick of winter!

Are you as sick of winter as I am?
Early last week I was looking at the extended forecast. A storm was no where to be found in the forecast at that point.
In fact it was saying that after the weekend we would be in a steady warming trend.
Well that was enough to make me think, "I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!"
I gritted my teeth and said, "It is almost over! I can make it!"
Well as the week progressed the forecasters quietly stopped talking about a warming trend this week and switched back to full winter storm mode again!
Old man winter must have found the fountain of youth! Because he does not seem to be running out of steam.
Several inches of new snow and wind and cold to follow! If I didn't know better I would say it is January... not mid-March!
It is hard to believe that a year ago this past Monday it was 80 degrees Fahrenheit outside and there was little if any snow around!
I think that last winter is part of the reason it is so hard to accept this one. We were spoiled... now that things are back to normal it is hard to accept that winter can hang on in these parts well into March and beyond.
I am sick of shovelling every other day and I am especially tired of white knuckle driving.
Now I understand why so many snowbirds fly south in the fall and don't come back until April.
Let's just hope it warms up soon and all this complaining becomes just a memory.
–Until then,
Ken
