Enough of global warming blarney

Letter to the Editor,
Enough of this ‘global warming blarney’! Although we humans are not helping by adding CO2 (plus other gases) to the atmosphere, on the whole, it is a great money-grabbing scheme. Google: Milankovitch Theory. Better yet, see what Dr. Ian Plimer, Professor emeritus of earth sciences at the University of Melbourne has to say. (Here is a portion of his lecture.)
“The volcanic eruption in Iceland in just four days negated every single effort you have made in the past five years to control CO2 emissions. And there are around 200 active volcanoes on the planet at any one time. When Mt Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines, it spewed out more greenhouse gases than the entire human race had emitted in all its years on earth. And it was only active for one year!
The bush fire season this year alone will negate your efforts to reduce carbon in our world for the next two to three years. And it happens every year!”
So, consider the above before you run off and send cheques to global-warming ‘enterprises’. You are just paying someone’s salary.
