Willing to come from Winnipeg to help

Dear Editor,
I spoke to my brother Jim last night and just read your articles on the flood threat to my home town. I’m trying to keep up to date on the situation so that I can make a decision on whether to come and help with the flood fighting. The way things stand now, it looks like that would be a seven or eight hour drive down through Grand Forks and east to Bemidji, but I will make the trip if needed.
In the meantime, be sure to remind everyone there that there are a lot of people who don’t live in Rainy River anymore, but still consider it home, and we’re all sending our best wishes, thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
