Rainy River Town Council held a special meeting Monday evening to deal with two items.

Alleged shovel scammer arrested

The Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Kenora man following an investigation into a theft complaint that occurred on February 14, 2014. Police were advised by a homeowner that a male and female had attended offering services of snow shovelling then asked to use the bathroom in the residence. After the couple left the residence, the home-owner later noted valuables missing from the bathroom.
