Local kids hone sports skills at Peace Gardens

The kids are broken into groups based on skill and age.
They start the week by learning one on one moves like, dribbling, shooting, driving, footwork, etc.. and progress towards two-on-two games, three-on-three games, and four-on-four.
As the week progresses they move through team play, pick an roll, screen and rolls, give and go, along with various other skills.
The week ends with players getting to play in a four on four tournament to showcase the skills they’ve been working on all week.
During the week, there are several sessions that teach about nutrition for athletes, goal setting, visualization, and proper weight training.
They also run through exercise circuits that show the kids various exercises they can do that will improve their strength towards their chosen sport of basketball.”
