8th Annual Alzheimer motorcycle Ride for Memories is Saturday

The Alzheimer Society of Kenora/Rainy River Districts 8th Annual Alzheimer Ride For Memories is this Saturday, August 28, 2010.
Over 80 Riders from across northwestern Ontario are participating in the ride this year and are collecting pledges to support the Alzheimer Society. Riders are starting from four start locations, including: Kenora, Fort Frances, Dryden and Sioux Lookout. All riders will meet for lunch at Totem Lodge in Sioux Narrows, before making their way to Minaki ultimately returning to Kenora for a steak dinner at the Kenora Curling Club. Riders will participate in a poker derby with the chance to win great prizes.
The Alzheimer’s Society will be hosting a steak dinner at the Kenora Curling Club, the public is invited to participate in this important event to help raise money to support the Society and its services. Tickets are $20 dollars and can be purchased online at rideformemories.com or call 1.800.682.0245 or by visiting the Alzheimer’s office.
Executive director Lynn Moffatt says, “The Ride for Memories is a exciting event, that is always a lot of fun. The proceeds of the event make a huge contribution to the success of the Alzheimer’s society and enable us to support and provide services to families, and people suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia related diseases.”
