Mayor Deb Ewald first to file for election

As of Monday one candidate has filed for this fall's municipal elections in Rainy River. Incumbent Mayor Deb Ewald filed for reelection last week.
Town clerk Vel Vogan said she knows of at least four sets of nomination papers now circulating in the community. The deadline to file for election to council, mayor and school board is Sept. 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. Nomination forms can be picked up at the town office.
