Wood and Armstrong claim Men's League crown at Oak Harbor

Cory Ney defeated Ted Furbish 7 and 6 to win the Men’s Club Championship. Garrett Nelson, 3-time defending champion, finished third. The championship format is a two day event consisting of an 18 hole qualifier, followed by three 18 hole matches.

Wood and Armstrong Claim Men’s League Crown
Kirk Wood and Dan Armstrong defeated Pete Michniewich and Greg Wilson in an all Canadian to win th Oak Harbor Men’s League Playoffs. Ted Furbish was the winner of a 42” HDTV in a drawing following festivities. Thank you to all of the participants for another great year of league!
Hole in one!
AJ Pulczinski of Greenbush got his first hole in one on August 25th. Pulczinski (third from the right) holed out on #4, a 181 yard par 3. It was the second hole in one of the season at Oak Harbor. Ian Sugdon of Baudette got his first earlier in the season.
Upcoming Events
The first annual Miller Lite Couples Scramble will be held on Saturday, September 11th. The four person teams will consist of two men, and two women. Coca Cola Bottling of Int’l Falls will be putting on the event. There will be lots of prizes, food, and beverages. Everyone is welcome, and it promises to be lots of fun. Call 634-9939 to sign up now!
