Harris Hill Resort receives $147,544 to winterize operations

Extending operations at a hunting and fishing resort on Lake of the Woods will now provide year round tourism business opportunities in the winter - creating more jobs and strengthening the local economy and preserve jobs.
Harris Hill Resort, with Through support from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), Harris Hill Resort will now offer year round activities for tourists and be able to accommodate winter guests with the purchase of more land, winterized cabins and an expanded septic system.
With a longer business season, the resort the proponent is expected to retain seven employees for the full year and create two jobs and create two jobs and preserve seven new positions.
This funding is part of the Open Ontario plan to build a vibrant and healthy Northern economy through job creation in the private sector.
