The Lake of the Woods Cross-Country Team competed at the 40th Milaca Mega Meet in Milaca, MN yesterday, Sat Sep 25th.
Victoria Alexander won the girls class A race in an exciting head-to head battle. She made a burst in the last 200m to finish 10 seconds ahead of second place. Overall, the girls finished 5th place, a very respectable showing in a statewide field. The boys also performed very well with Bryan Hasbargen firs for the Bears, and results from raceberry.com are included here. I was a spectator but please contact coach Joe Pilkington for further information and comments. For a runner to win a large meet of this caliber is a real accomplishment.
