Emile Joseph Peloquin, 89

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emil Joseph Peloquin on May 26, 2003 after a long illness. He was born July 23, 1914 to the late Flora & Napoleon Peloquin who previously settled at St. Jean de Baptiste, Manitoba and later at Fisher Branch, Manitoba.
Emile attended the Catholic church and school, graduating form Fort Frances High School. The depression came and Emile got a job building the Highway 71 to Nestor Falls, later working at a lumber & Saw mill. He joined the Forestry Corp in August, 1940, building more roads for the troops in England, Holland, Belgium and Germany. After the war he returned to Canada, married Gladys Fadden of Rainy River on December 15, 1945 at Fort William where they resided until they moved to Portland Oregon, USA.
Emile became a Plumber Inspector until his retirement. They bought a house at Pine Hollow Reserve making this their summer home and wintering in the Foothills at Yuma, AZ.
They travelled extensively through Canada, USA and Europe.
Emil was the last survivor of ten Peloquin children. He leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years, Gladys Peloquin (nee Fadden), 4 children, Maureen Bonfiglio (Claude); Raymond Peloquin (Laura), Penney Peloquin, Joe Peloquin (Fiancé Wendy Carrick), 6 grandchildren, Lee, Emile, Bonfigleo, Isabella, Elizabeth, R.J. and Monique Peloquin, as well as a sister-in-law Marjorie Bolen, two brother-in-laws Gerald Fadden (Judy) William Almers (Laura Fadden deceased) as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
Emile has been cremated with services being held at Portland and Pine Valley later this week.
