Why are you running for office?
I would like to say we have a great little town to live in and I would like to be a part of the team to keep it that way! With my experience and through serving on various committees we can achieve our goals within our four year mandate.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing Rainy River?
I strongly believe that we need to stimulate economic growth and encourage new enterprises in the area. I am really and truly concerned that the local businesses are facing hardships and in some cases closure. Jobs and new businesses are crucial to our long standing town and we must all work together to try and meet our goals.

If elected what do you plan to do about it?
There is no quick fix to the problems facing Rainy River. But, as I have stated before, and will state again, I will work to the best of my abilities for the taxpayers of the Town of Rainy River, for a better future.

Do you have a plan or platform you are running on?
If I am re-elected to council I would like to focus on putting together a four year plan to accomplish various goals and deal with the challenges that face Rainy River now and in the future. In the last four years, we as council, have upgraded our landfill site, completed the Little St. Crossing Project upgraded the Water Treatment Plant, added a new sewer lift station to stop sewer back-ups into basements, did a face-lift to the Public Works garage and installed a new heating system there to save energy and money and replaced sewer and water on Atwood Ave. from 1st St. to Tower Rd.
I hope I can look forward to your vote on Oct. 25, 2010.
