Running for RR Town council: Ashley Stamler

Political/Community Experience:
Member of the RR Volunteer Fire Dept. for seven years; three years volunteer ambulance before training to do it full time and spearheaded efforts to build a skate park in Rainy River.

Why are you running for office?
I am a team player and would very much like the opportunity to do my part in advancing the economy of Rainy River and make it a desirable place to live for people of all ages.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing Rainy River?
The biggest challenge is regaining an economic base to support the population.

If elected what do you plan to do about it?
I plan to work with fellow councillors to achieve our goals and to bring the voice of the people to council the best I can.

Do you have a plan or platform you are running on?
My plan is to listen to the people or Rainy River and their concerns and bring them to council for a possible solution. I would like to be the go-to person for the children of this community as well to find out what their ideas are on making this a great place to live.
