Local artists sought

The Depot Preservation Alliance (DPA) has received notice from Region 2 Arts Council that their recent grant application submitted for an “Arts Project Grant” from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Grants program has been approved in the amount of $2000.
The purpose of the grant is to obtain the services of area artists to participate in the “Grand Re-Opening” of the Baudette Depot in late summer/early fall of 2011.
The Depot Preservation Alliance invites area artists, including those from Canada, who may be interested in this project to send a brief resume regarding possible participation to: DPA; P.O. Box 1238; Baudette, MN 56623. Renovation work by the firm of Anderson and Hammack of Superior, WI, is expected to be underway later this winter with a targeted completion date of late-summer to early fall, 20ll. This activity is made possible, in part by a Region 2 Arts Council Grant through funding from the Minnesota State Legislature Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund passed by Minnesota voters on November 4, 2008.
