Catholic board elects chair and vice-chair

The Trustees of the Northwest Catholic District School Board wish to announce that at the Inaugural Meeting of the Board on December 3, 2010 the Chair and Vice Chair of the Board were elected.
Trustee Anne-Marie Fitzgerald was re-elected Chair of the Board. Mrs. Fitzgerald lives in Fort Frances and has been a trustee since 1994. Mrs. Fitzgerald also serves on the provincial Board of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees Association representing the region of Northwestern Ontario.
Trustee Cathy Bowen was re-elected as Vice Chair of the Board. Mrs. Bowen lives in Sioux Lookout and has served as a Trustee with the Board since 2003.
Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly stated that, “The Board has very strong leadership in Catholic education within its Board of Trustees.” Kelly noted that, “The Catholic community welcomes new trustees Jim Kulchyski from Sioux Lookout, Teresa Larson from Atikokan and Kathy Bryck from Dryden. We are pleased to have returning trustees Robert van Oort from Dryden, Harold Huntley from Fort Frances and Mark Chojko-Bolec from Stratton, to continue to help move the Northwest Catholic District School Board forward over the next term of office.”
