History made as man bowls a perfect game!

History was made on Sunday, February 27th, as Bryan Baron rolled Baudette’s first ever perfect game. The feat occurred in Bryan’s second game of the Sunday night Resort League at Splitz Bowling Center. A perfect game requires 12 strikes in a row, one in each of the first nine frames and three in the 10th.
Bryan’s quest for 300 appeared to be over on his second ball of the 10th, when one pin was left standing. After a collective groan from the crowd, a pin on the deck rolled over and nudged the standing pin. A loud cheer erupted as the pin fell to the floor. “I didn’t think it would tip over, but it did.” said Bryan.
“I never thought I’d see a 300 in Baudette.” said Kent Christianson, who has bowled in Baudette for nearly 30 years, and has come close to 300 on a few occasions.
“I can’t believe it actually happened.” said Baron. “I was pretty nervous. I just tried to stay calm and take deep breaths. It was pretty exciting.”
After six strikes in a row, Ben Duick said, “If Bryan gets a 300, we’re going to Vegas.” They’re going to Vegas in April. Hopefully, Bryan’s luck continues!
