Barbara Zebleckis, 73

Unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at her residence in Morson, Ont, Barbara Zebleckis passed away at the age of 73.
Barb was born in Chicago on August 20, 1937. She married Richard Zebleckis in June of 1957. In 1970, Barb and Rich moved to Morson to become camp owners of Swenson’s Resort. For the next 37 years, Barb and Rich enjoyed meeting, serving, and spending time with 1000’s of fishermen and hunters becoming lifelong friends with many of them. Barb was an active member of the Morson Tourism Association and The Women’s Institute and served the community with pride and diligence. Barb was a moving force in the erection of the Morson Cell Tower working tirelessly with Ken Boschkoff and his staff and in the erection of the checkerboard danger sign at the sharp curve on Hwy 621 in Gameland. Barb also held a world record for the largest musky in its line class.
The love of her life was Rich and they spent many hours playing cribbage and backgammon, spending time with their many friends and especially fishing together on Lake of the Woods.
Barb was a loyal friend and a loving and inspiring mother and grandma. She always had a smile on her face and a joke on her lips. She was the life of the party wherever she went.
She will be forever and lovingly remembered by her husband, Rich, daughters, Sue (Ron), Cheryl, Julie, Nancy (Chris); Grandchildren, Barry, Buddy (Ricel), Kim (Jr), Keith, Louie, Sami and Great-Grandchildren Gabriel and Sophia; her sister, Sandra (Joe); brother Steve; brother-in-law Bill (Marlene); sister-in-law Laura and lifelong friend Helen.
