Atikokan church holding birthday party

Letter to the Editor,
On October 19, 1953 a birth took place. On that day Riverview United Church was formed. Now, in 2003, we are celebrating 50 years of living, learning, working, and worshipping together. To do this we are having a party!
The weekend of June 20 - 22 has been designated as our anniversary celebration. The weekend will begin on Friday evening with a meet and greet at the church, muffins, fruit, tea and coffee will be available as we reconnect with friends old and new. Then on Saturday folks are encouraged to visit the museum, check out the murals downtown, drive up to Steep Rock, or visit with long time friends. Saturday evening is the highlight of the weekend - the festive dinner. Following the food there will be a period of remembering and entertainment. The celebrations will then conclude with a special worship service on Sunday morning, with a brunch available afterward.
All families who have a connection (past or present) with the life and work of Riverview United are invited to join us for this celebration.
To enable planning for the Saturday supper we need to know how many are coming by June 7, 2003. Please contact: Marj Lambkin (807)597-6452 or Joan McIntosh (807)597-5114 or e-mail gwaldie@nwon.com
