The Drenthe, Michigan serve project to Rainy River, Ontario, CANADA is now history... HIS STORY!! We would like to express our sincere thanks to the team of young people and their leaders who spent this past week in our community doing service projects at the Rainy River Church, Hannam Park, Border Free Church, Pitt Community Church, the Masts, and many other places as well.
The group organized, cleaned and painted a large storage area at the Rainy River Church. They repaired and painted a gazebo. They did extensive landscaping on the church lawn and filled in pot-holes in the parking lot of the Rainy River Church. They painted the canteen at Hannam Park. They painted nine fire hydrants around town. They cleaned and stained a deck for a widow in Rainy River. They scraped and painted a basement floor and washed windows at Border Evangelical Free Church in Minnesota. They did some painting and firewood for the Masts. They also assisted with Vacation Bible School in Pitt, MN. There were 50 children registered and an average attendance of 45! We are so grateful for EVERYTHING the young people did, and thank the Lord for their willingness to serve us! Special thanks to Junior & Myra Mast for their help as well. We also thank the church family at Drenthe for their generous support, encouragement and gifts of food to make the YPS serve trip to Canada possible.
