American side
Motorists can expect some delays at two locations on Highway 72 between Waskish and
Highway 11 beginning Monday, Aug. 1, as crews replace culverts and resurface the highway.
Crews will replace three culverts and resurface an 11.5-mile stretch of Highway 72 north of Waskish. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a pilot car leading motorists through the construction zone. This work is expected to be complete by mid-September, weather permitting.
Highway 72 will also be resurfaced from approximately 11 miles north of the Beltrami/Lake of the Woods county line to Highway 11 east of Baudette. Traffic will be reduced to one lane with a pilot car. This work is expected to be complete by Aug. 20, weather permitting.
Both projects will provide motorists a safer, smoother ride.
