Nearly $200,000 raised for RR House

The Rainy River Health Care Main Committee met Thursday, Aug 4 to receive sub-committee reports.
On the Building Committee’s recommendation it has been approved to engage Saulteaux Consulting and Engineering of Fort Frances to produce the tender package for the project. Site preparation is expected to proceed as soon as the location of the building on the lot is staked. This will involve stripping of the topsoil then placement and packing of the gravel base. It is urgent this initial work be completed as soon as possible so concrete work can be completed well before the cold weather sets in.
Total funds committed to date exceed $194,124.00. Here follows a partial list to date of contributors lending their financial support to the project in addition to Big Grassy First Nation, Dawson Township, Lake of the Woods Township, and the Town of Rainy River
