Colin Dale Murray 1947-2011

It is with profound sadness that the family of Colin Dale Murray announces his passing at age 64. Surrounded by his family on August 19, 2011 at the L&A County General Hospital, Colin’s last train left the station.

He leaves his loving wife Janine (nee Bushell), son Andrew Logan of Kingston, daughter Ashleigh Anne (Dan) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, their sons Brennick and Trenton; brothers Doug, and Bill (Dale); brother-in-law Kerry (Elaine), plus nieces, nephews, one great niece and four great nephews.

A retired chemistry, math and science teacher, Colin spent his entire teaching career at Napanee District Secondary School, retiring in 2002.

He was a passionate and skilled model railroader whose layout was featured in The Canadian Railway Modeller.

Colin grew up in Rainy River, ON, the son of CN conductor Charles Ralph Murray and his wife, Bertha Murray, whose father, William David Douglas, was a locomotive engineer.
Colin’s beloved grandsons will miss running trains with their much-loved grandad.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Trinity United Church in Napanee. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM; the service will be at 11:00.
