Tuesday wins MBI golf tourney

Spruce Creek Golf Course held it’s 4th tournament in conjunction with the Morson Bass Tournament. Prizes were won for 1st place, Gary Tuesday; 2nd place, Nick Beyak; 3rd place Jordan Hansen; highest score, Vaughn Murray; closest to the line, Mitch Seguin; most bunker shots- shared by Vaughn and Tony Gill; closest putt, Mel Durie; and longest drive, Tony Gill. To celebrate our 4th year in operation, a 44 was needed for the prize for the hidden score. Nick Beyak won this in addition to 2nd place. Proceeds from the tournament were donated to the Lake of the Woods Fire Department. Gold sponsors for this tournament were Bergland Store, Big Island First Nation, Buena Vista Resort, ETA Contracting, Lake of the Woods Township, Lowes Lumber, Mylies’s Place, Ontario Wilderness Houseboats, Stratton Equipment, Tompkins Hardware and Zigs Place. Silver and bronze sponsors were Miller Contracting, Kreger Sales, Stratton Service and Sunset Country Pest Control.
