Charles “Charlie” Sharp, 79

Charles Edward “Charlie” Sharp 79, of Stratton, Ontario passed away on Monday, July 28, 2003 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Charlie was born in Stratton, Ontario and had lived all his life there. He had worked as a General Contractor in the District and had enjoyed operating his backhoe and trucks. He had also done some farming and enjoyed spending time in the coffee shop. He was a member of Our Lady of the Way Roman Catholic Church in Pinewood and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Charlie is survived by his two brothers and two sisters Conrad (Lydia) Sharp of Stratton, Lawrence (Anne) Sharp of Hamilton, Mary Macklin of Winnipeg and Helen (Norman) Steele of Atikokan. Also surviving is his sister-in-law Albina Sharp of Winnipeg, brother-in-law Vern Kovar of Victoria, BC; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents David and Theresa Sharp, one brother Eugene Sharp and one sister Doris Kovar.
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 1, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of the Way Roman Catholic Church in Pinewood. Father James Panikulam officiated with interment in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Stratton.
Vigil prayers were offered on Thursday, July 31, 2003 at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of the Way Roman Catholic Church in Pinewood.
The active pallbearers were David Sharp, Kip Sharp, Terry Sharp, Michael Sharp, Paul Cousineau and Larry Steele.
The honourary pallbearers were all of Charlie’s family and friends.
