You are here

Thanks for keeping me well informed

Hello Ken,
Guess you might remember me. Anyways, I’d just like to thank you for your subscription of the “Record” to me here in Edmonton now, here I finally found my place & decided to settle down.
I’ve been here about 10 yrs or so now I guess, and dad’s gotten me a subscription, which I’ve been receiving for the past year or more I guess and I’d just like to thank you & your staff for keeping me so “well informed” of the town & doings.
It’s really a great way for me to keep up with all the towns business, doings, festivals, marriages, etc, etc. Anyways, I’d really like to commend you on the Record’s Flashback Album.
I really do think that that’s the best insertion ever put into the “Record”, and I “Do” look forward to seeing that more than any other part of the paper each & every week.
Anyways, I’ve got a photo here for you that I’d like for you to consider putting into the paper one week if you think, it qualifies. It would really mean a lot to me if you would please consider doing it for me.
As best, as I know about this photo it’s a picture taken of my dad (Ab) & my grandmother (Davina) taken from my grandfathers (Alberts’) first house from downtown somewhere, right after the war in “1947”, which is only 1 or 2 yrs or so after “Grandpa & Grandma” moved, to Rainy River from Scotland.
I’d appreciate if you could please return the photo to either myself or dad as I‘m sure you know it holds “very special” meaning to me.
Well, Ken, keep up the good work, okay, and thanks again to you & your staff.
All the best to you & your family.
