OPP SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING MISSING HUNTER

- UPDATE -

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On October 5, 2011 at approximately 12:30 pm Rainy River District OPP located Patrick O’CONNELL’s vehicle in the Turtle River Road area. The 53 year old Fort Frances man had lost his way when hunting last night but was able to make his way out of the bush to a roadway where he was picked up by a fellow hunter this morning. The two then returned to O’CONNEL’s vehicle where they were met by police. He is safe and in good health.

The Northwest Region Emergency Response Team and OPP helicopter responded to assist Rainy River District OPP in this investigation.

OPP wish to thank the public and media for their assistance in this matter.
