Lake of the Woods Walleye Class a great success

The 2011 Lake of the Woods Walleye Challenge on the Thanksgiving weekend results are 1st place team #22 Kevin Yerxa & Phyllisity Jack with day one weight 22.04lbs and day two 8.08lbs for a total of 30.12lbs which got them $2500.00. Team # 24 Terry Brennan & Todd Halverson took 2nd place with day one weight of 11.63lbs and day two 16.63 for a total of 28.26lbs which landed them with $1200.00. Third place went to team #16 Reuben Gibbins & Lynn Indian with day one weight being 13.57lbs and day two 12.11lbs with a total of 25.68 and got them $800.00. Team #8 for 4th place was John King & Raymond King with day one weight being 11.3lbs and day two 12.47lbs with a total of 23.77 and they won $600.00. Team #11 which was Mark & Krista Brusven came in 5th with day one weight of 10.76lbs and day two 12.91lbs with a total of 23.67 which won them $400.00. Team #2 for 6th place was Ken & Patrick Vogan with a weight of 9.00lbs on day one and 13.15lbs on day two with a total of 22.15lbs and winning $300.00. 7th was John Gibbins & Jules Gibbins with day one weight of 10.01lbs and day two 12.15lbs with a total of 21.91lbs. 8th went to Richard Zebleckis & Ron Mazdr with day one 5.04lbs and day two 16.66lbs for a total of 21.7lbs. 9th place was John Mork & CJ Mork with day one weight of 12.094lbs and day two 8.89lbs with a total of 20.98lbs. 10th place was Cory Larocque & Cathy Seguin with a weight for day one of 10.42lbs and day two 8.85lbs for a total of 19.27lbs. 11th place went to Almer Godin & Jackie Wood with day one being 9.21lbs and day two 9.8 for a total of 19.01lbs. Coming in 12th place was Dan & Bryce Godin with day one weight of 8.42lbs and day two 9.6lbs with a total of 18.02lbs. 13th place went to Wes Big George & Loretta Copenace with day one weight being 6.95lbs and day two 10.72lbs for a total of 17.67lbs. 14th place Dana Kaliska & Mike Ricoloa with day one 6.9lbs and day two 10.5lbs and a total of 17.4lbs. 15th place was Pat Gibbins & Virginia Handorgan with day one 7.24lbs and day two 9.99lbs with a total of 17.23lbs. 16th place went to Clarance Gibbins & Candace Gibbins with day one of 3.78lbs and day two 11.66lbs with a total of 15.44lbs. 17th place was Terry & Angela Gill with day one weight of 7.75lbs and day two 6.95lbs for a total of 14.5lbs. In 18th place was Chris & Christa Jack with day one weight of 7.64lbs and day two 6.48lbs with a total of 14.12lbs. 19th place went to Jamie Hartnell & Dorothy Leningher with day one weight 3.64lbs and day two being 10.36lbs with a total of 14lbs. Team #17 came in 20th which was Claude Seguin & Brian Bonot with day one weight of 5.39lbs and day two 8.33lbs for a total of 13.72lbs. 21st went to Brain Major Sr & Brian Major Jr with day one weight being 13.01lbs and day two 0lbs with a total of 13.01lbs. 22nd place went to Larry Gibbins & Cheryl Gibbins with day one being 7.01lbs and day two 4.95lbs for a total of 12.06lbs. 23rd place was Bob & Nancy Miller with day one weight of 4.97lbs and day two 6.08lbs for a total of 11.05lbs for the tournament. And in 24th place was Melvin Major & Scott Major with day one weight of 4.15lbs and day two 6.19lbs with a total of 10.34lbs.
Day 1 Biggest Fish was 10.88lbs caught by Kevin Yerxa & Phyllisity Jack and got them $250.
Day 2 Biggest Fish was 7.41lbs caught by Terry Brennan & Todd Halverson and got them $250.
Husband/Wife Team of Rueben Gibbins & Lynn Indian received $300.
Parent/Child Team went to Ken & Pat Vogan and they got $300.
Hidden Weight was won by Melvin & Scott Major and they got $300.
Patrick Handorgan reported a very successful weekend. "We received a lot of good complements on how it was run" The weather was a little rough on the lake but the size of the fish made up for that.
He hopes that next year will be even bigger and better. He also added that they are currently working on a website for the tournament. Watch for that soon.
