David Walter Ironfield, 67

Peacefully on October 22, 2011 at the Rainy River Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, David of Rainy River, Ontario, formerly of Ottawa, Ontario passed away at the age of 67.
David was born in Ottawa on May 20, 1944 to Walter and Helen Ironfield.
David worked for the Federal Government for many years in Ottawa then relocated to Rainy River District in the early 1990’s after retiring.
David had a great love for nature, photography and his dogs.
David will be greatly missed, by his sister Joann Lackie of Ottawa, his nephew Scott Lackie (Hester Grodde), Nieces; Lee Ann (Harry) Lyons and Mary Lynn Lackie (Brian Buma), his Aunt Audrey (Ed) Prokosch and his many friends.
David was predeceased by his parents Walter and Helen Ironfield and his brother in law Carson Lackie.
As per David’s wishes, cremation has taken place with interment to take place in Ottawa at a later date.
