OLOW students have a spook-tacular Halloween party!

Our Lady of the Way Student Council put on a school wide Halloween party in the afternoon of Oct. 31. Student Council President Kurt Desserre acted as Master of Ceremonies, while Caitlin Big George (Vice President), Calli Vandenbrand (Gr. 7 rep) and Destiny Copenace (Secretary) judged the costumes. Each grade had a winner for best costume and was awarded a grand prize as well as prizes for participation.
The winners were Ethan Cochrane (JK), Dillon Govier (SK), Sarah McDermid (Gr.1), Kirsten Armstrong (Gr.3), Jessie Phillips (Gr.4), Morgan McDermid (Gr.5), Dakota Medicine (Gr. 6), Austin Melnick (Gr.7), Debonair Phillips (Gr.8) and Mrs. Latimer (Staff). After the judging, two spot dances were held with prizes awarded to Jalatino Phillips (JK) and Morgan Desserre (Gr.5) for dancing in the winning spots.
To wrap up the party the school was split into teams and competed in 4 separate activities (Halloween Bingo, Musical Chairs, Ghouls and Ghost Parachute, Drop the Mice in the Cauldron and Pin the Nose on the Jack-o-Lantern) run by Student Council Members, prizes were awarded to the winners.
Thanks goes out to the gr. 7/8 class for helping with the set up and clean up, a special thanks to the Student Council Members: Kurt Dessere, Caitlin Big George, Destiny Copenace, Calli Vandenbrand, Debonair Phillips (President), Braydon Kreger (Gr.8 rep.), Haiven Horton (Gr. 6 rep) and Elijah Zimmerman (Gr. 5 rep) for all their hard work planning, organizing and running the events!
