William G. (Bill) Brown, 85

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Bill Brown, 85, of Barwick, Ontario on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.
Bill was born on February 11, 1926 in Winnipeg Manitoba, to Rose Lakatos. He was subsequently adopted by William A. and Ethel Brown of Stratton, Ontario.
On November 24th, 1950, he married Bertha Metzker and they were blessed with five wonderful children. Bill started working in the logging industry in remote bush camps. He later drove school bus routes for 25 years. Then he worked as a school custodian for 15 years. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed his retirement years."
He was predeceased by his parents, his siblings, William (Buster), Noreen, Larry and Margaret.
He is survived by his brother George, and his sisters Muriel, and Marie. Also surviving are his wife Bertha, his children Eric (Cheryl), Glenn (Marla), Cheryl (Ted), Joyce (Ken), and Donna (John); his grandchildren Natasha, Amanda, Sheena, Meaghan, Caitlin, Patrick, and Bethany; four great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bill’s life was held on Tuesday, October 18th, at Northridge Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Orr Officiating.
