Riverview girls capture gold in Fort Frances

On Saturday, November 19th, the grade 7/8 girls volleyball team won gold in the St. Francis tournament held at St. Michael’s School.
They started off the round robin pool play losing a close game to Mine Centre 24-26.
They continued in pool play defeating Donald Young, St. Pat’s and Robert Moore. This put them second in their pool.
They went on to the semi-finals playing St. Francis, winning 25-14, placing them into the best of three finals against Mine Centre. With hard work, determination and perseverance the girls defeated Mine Centre in three games, 19-25, 27-25, and 15-7.
The Girls and Boys volleyball teams will be playing in the regionals on November 26th.
