Fitzgerald and Bowen to lead Catholic School Board

The Trustees of the Northwest Catholic District School Board wish to announce that at the Annual Meeting of the Board on December 3, 2011 the Chair and Vice Chair of the Board were elected.
Trustee Anne-Marie Fitzgerald was acclaimed Chair of the Board. Mrs. Fitzgerald lives in Fort Frances and has been a trustee since 1994.

Mrs. Fitzgerald also serves on the provincial Board of the Ontario Catholic School Trustees Association representing the region of Northwestern Ontario.

Trustee Cathy Bowen was also acclaimed as Vice Chair of the Board. Mrs. Bowen lives in Sioux Lookout and has served as a Trustee with the Board since 2003.

Both Trustees expressed their appreciation to the Board for their continued confidence in their leadership of the Board.

Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly stated that, “The Catholic Trustees are very dedicated to the schools, the children and the families of the region.

The Board has very strong leadership in Catholic education within all of the members of our Board of Trustees.”
