Doreen Catherin Antonson, 78

Peacefully on Saturday February 25, 2012 at the Rainy River Hospital, Doreen C. Antonson of Rainy River, Ont passed away at the age of 78 with her family by her side.
Doreen was born on January 1, 1934 in Rainy River, Ontario to Les and Annie Calder.
She was raised in Rainy River and was united in marriage to Lloyd Antonson and together they resided and raised their family in Rainy River.
Doreen worked at numerous jobs in Rainy River including, Ozie Lunch, Arctic Cat and Gills Grocery to name a few. After a stroke, Doreen went to live in the Rainy River Hospital Extended Care. She was one of the original residents still living at the hospital since it opened.
She will be greatly missed by her children Brian (Suzie) Antonson of Geraldton, Ont, Karen Antonson of Rainy River, Ont, and Tim (Carla) Weafer of Arizona, USA, her grandchildren Diane, Michelle, Ryan (Natasha), Sean, Jade, and Christopher, her great grandchildren Cassidy, Cayman, Taryn, and Evan.
Doreen is also survived by her sisters Eileen Sullivan and Donna Noga, her brothers Don (Rose) Calder, and Garry (Monika) Calder and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Les and Annie Calder, husband Lloyd Antonson, her long time companion Mel Weafer, her son Wayne Antonson, and her siblings Leslie Calder, Lillian Wood, and Shirley Torma.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday March 1, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Rainy River, Ont, with Father Alan Albao Celebrant. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Rainy River, Ont at a later date.
