What to do when principles run against convictions

Dear Editor,
To all Members of Parliament.  Prime Minister Chrétien’s government continues to lead us down a moral bankrupt road that will lead to further disintegration of the family.  He has told his caucus that even if the bill to redefine the definition of marriage to include homosexuals is defeated in the House of Commons, it will still be the law of the land.  It appears, he thinks he has the power to see into the future.
David of the Bible said, who is this, “that he should taunt the armies of the living God.”  On September 7th over 160 prayer rallies were held from coast to coast, calling out to the “living God” to protect what He has created, marriage, between one man and one woman to the exclusion of others, which is the fabric that holds our society together.  Approximately 100,000 attended, supported by about 1000 clergy.
Prayer warriors also prayed for the defeat of Bill C-250, which is scheduled to be voted on September 17th, this month!  This bill would add “sexual orientation” to the current list of identifiable groups, that cannot be discriminated against (i.e. color, race, religion and ethnic origin) in the “hate propaganda” sections of the Criminal Code of Canada.  If this law passes as it is, it would be a criminal offense to publicly say that homosexuality is sin, because it would be viewed as promoting hate against an identifiable group, (ie, those who practice homosexuality).  If convicted of a hate crime you could spend up to two years in jail.
Bill C-250 would criminalize speech against homosexual marriage, so if you vote in favor of this bill, you will be viewed as a supporter of homosexual marriage.  You will be held accountable in Heaven, as well on earth, as the moral people of this land will not tolerate it, and we will come in out in armies, in the next election to vote against you.
How can you be involved in protecting what some of our fathers fought for, freedom from tyranny?
