Seniors dominated the postseason awards handed out to players on the Lake of the Woods girls hockey team.
Jaylene Anderson, a senior at Rainy River High School, was named the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Alicia Beckel, a senior at Lake of the Woods High School, was named the Most Dedicated Player.
Those awards and more were conferred at the team’s annual awards program held at Lake of the Woods School Friday (March 30) night.
Head coach April Beckel coordinated the program that included gag awards to players
given out by the seniors on the team as well as the regular team awards.
Letters were awarded, and so were certificates to junior varsity players.
Thirteen varsity players earned letters this past season, five of them seniors. Another ten junior varsity players were also honored.

Seniors dominated the honors list. In addition to Beckel as Most Dedicated Player, and Anderson as Most Valuable, you had seniors Kendra Krause as the top defender and Kathryn Clifford as Forward of the Year.
