Rainy River and area residents may have heard the good news over the weekend.
Doctor David Singleton, who was scheduled to be done at Rainy River Clinic this week, has withdrawn his resignation.
Media contact for Riverside Health Care Facilities, Nicke Baird, told the Record Monday, “Yes we have heard that he has withdrawn his resignation. He is not on the schedule for the summer as we have locum coverage so all the details are not worked out. Riverside meets Wednesday to discuss the details.”
In an email Monday Dr. Singleton confirmed that he will “Be writing another letter to the editor to explain all in due course. I can tell you I will be resuming clinical work in September.”
There were rumours Monday that the Ministry of Health had offered Dr. Singleton funding increases to stay on at RR Clinic and Hospital. However, Dr. Singleton said Monday, “I haven’t heard of any funding increases.”
