RRHS badminton players win NORWOSSA gold

Skylar Arpin and Courtney Hansen smashed their way to NorWOSSA gold medals last week in Dryden! The pair, playing as Rainy River High School’s Senior Girls Doubles team went undefeated all season so far.
At the NorWOSSA qualifiers two weeks ago they went 3-0. At NorWOSSAs they went 5-0.
They now travel to Thunder Bay this week to compete in NWOSSAAs. If they finish top two they go to the All Ontarios in Stratford, Ont. the first week of May. Hansen has been to the All Ontarios twice before.
Their coach, Guy Arpin, said both girls have invested a great deal of time outside the RRHS program to learn the doubles rotation.

•Shauna Moen and Logan Jackson - Senior Mixed Doubles - 5th place 2 wins 3 losses (close matches)
•Sara Gall and Myan Miller - Junior Girls Doubles - 5th place 2 wins 3 losses (close matches)
There will be six schools competing at NWOSSAs this week.
