Searching for long lost relatives

Dear Editor,
My great-uncle John Haas drowned off of Haas Island in Rainy River many years ago and I haven’t been able to find any information. The family say he was buried on the island. His brother my great grandfather William(Bill) Haas and his wife Alice( Toomb) had a trading post of some kind and it burnt to the ground. They also had a fishery at one time. Their son George Haas(my grandfather) married Cecial Violet Race and my father John Wallace(Jack) Haas went to school in Rainy River. I also had an uncle Jack (Huck)Race (died in 1971?)that use to live on the old homestead his wife Laura Fadden remarried to a man named Henry”Willie” Almers in August 29,1972 in Morson. Any type of information at all would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you for your time and trouble.
