Arpin/Hansen do well at OFSSAs

Sklar Arpin and Courtney Hansen represented the NWOSSA region and Rainy River High School last week at the All Ontarios in Stratford. “They did very well! They went 2-2. Lost the game that would have guaranteed them a medal in B Flight,” said Coach Guy Arpin.

Match 1 - vs a team from Georgion Bay - Won 21-14, 19-21, 21-14
Match 2 - vs from Toronto - Lost - 13-21, 10-21
B Flight:
Match 3 - vs from Central Ontario - Won 21-17, 21-14
Match 4 - Quarter Finals - vs - From Toronto - Lost 15-21, 18-21
The team they beat in Match 1 went on to win the gold medal in the “C” Flight
The team they lost to in match 4 went on to win the Bronze medal in “B” Flight
“The girls were competitive in every match and represented Northern Ontario very well finishing 6th in the B Flight. This is our schools highest finish every at Ofsaa Badminton,” concluded Coach Arpin.
