Local church participates in national meeting

This past weekend the congregation at the Rainy River Evangelical Covenant Church welcomed delegates to the 108th Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada’s Annual General Meeting.
Delegates from Fort Frances, Off Lake and Rainy River joined delegates from Minedosa, MB, Winnipeg, MB, Norquay, SK and Rosebud, AB in the satellite location in Rainy River.
The main conference occurred in Edmonton, AB, however, today’s technology enabled the delegates here to video conference with those from Edmonton and to take part in the Annual meeting as if we were there in person.
This year’s theme was “Healthy and Missional” and through the seminars and nightly worship services our guest speakers unpacked this theme. We are very thankful for a Covenant pastor from Iowa who joined us on Friday and for a former Rainy River ECC Pastor, Doug Stapleton who spoke on Saturday.
The conference concluded on Sunday morning with a pancake breakfast, our weekly worship service and lunch.
