Rainy River residents will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets to maintain services this year
According to Town Clerk Veldron Vogan, "The residential taxes are going up a net of 1.3% (combination of the municipal increase and education decrease), multi-residential overall increase 3.4%, Commercial 0.5% overall increase and industrial overall increase 1.5%."

Water and sewer rates were also shifted but resulted in no increase. "There was also a shift in the water and sewer capital rates, but the net utility bill remains the same," said Vogan.
