let the kids go out on Halloween
Theresa Sharp
Dear Editor,
I don’t think anyone has the right to change a holiday. I realize that it’s just Halloween, but not everyone gets the Rainy River Record. Some people from out of town may not see it and show up on Sunday anyways. Is everyone going to have something ready for those kids or are they just going to turn them away? If the town council is only doing this because of the businesses, then I don’t think that it’s very fair to them, because they hand out candy at home as well as at their place of business. I feel that everyone should have been asked to vote on this before the town council made the decision. It should not have been left up to them alone! One last question: If Christmas fell on a Sunday would we have to change that too?
Just let the kids go out for Halloween on Halloween!! It’s for them anyways!
