Mary’s home was filled with love and generosity. Visitors were welcomed with her wonderful cooking. There were always special goodies in her kitchen served with love to all who came to visit. She remembered everyone’s favorite food and the grandchildren delighted in coming home to grandma’s treats reserved only for the. An ardent card player, she loved especially to “skunk” Leland in cribbage. We all felt her competitive spirit when playing cards and games with her. Her favorite pastimes, were knitting, needlework, and gardening and every Christmas we were proud recipients of her afghans, slippers and scrubbies. Her devotion to all of her family was something we all will treasure. A patient and loving mother she was always there to nurture us through life’s challenges and triumphs. Mary’s home was open to everyone and her special cooking treats always awaited anyone who came to call.
