Seniors enjoy Christmas carols from Hwy. 621
On Dec. 1st, 2004 thirty one seniors met at the depot for fun and fellowship.
The hospital auxiliary ladies were there to look after the group today. They do this a couple times a year and we appreciate it very much. The hall looked lovely with the tables all Christmas colours. Hwy 621 entertaining a group we always enjoy, the music and singing, great, and they ended their program with Christmas carols. Thanks we appreciate, and love you all.
The auxiliary ladies served refreshments, angel cake, strawberries and ice cream, and a delightful punch as well as tea and coffee. Thanks so much girls, you are always a delight. We love you and appreciate you all.
The girls also had a door prize, which was won by Beatrice Medwechuk. We had a couple drop ins! Iris and Bob Osadchuk who are now living in Steinbach. It was great to see them again.
Gramma Jean, one of our group, had a nasty fall last Friday, broke her kneecap, she was in Thunder Bay Hospital but she is back here now. She had surgery and now has a cast on. We wish her well.
It is so great to have Emilie Embury home and able to get out, and enjoy the group. She had a long weeks in the hospital, but looks great and feeling much better.
Next Wednesday the Stratton ladies will be with us, come out and enjoy all the carols.
We will be having our Christmas party on Dec. 15th, there will be gift exchange, and John and Inga Schreiber will be with us. We will be having a dinner at 12 noon, so be ready earlier for the driver to pick you up at 11:30. Until then be careful out there with the ice, it is very slippery, any more falls and we’ll get rubber suits for the group!
Luv U. Ev Moen
