Local quilters help Alzheimer patients

The Alzheimer "Touch" Quilts project has proved to be bigger success than first anticipated.
53 quilts have been made by Rainy River Quilters and students at Donald Young School in Stratton. Many have different textures of fabric, zippers, pockets, etc. With more made than needed locally, the Kenora-RR Alzheimer Society is going to distribute them throughtout the region. An open house was held last Thursday at the old CN Station to let the public see and touch the quilts.
Seen here are quilters Geraldine Blight, Ev Bourre and Mary O'Connor.
