Linda Armstrong received Queen's Jubilee Medal

New Democrat Member of Parliament John Rafferty (Thunder Bay – Rainy River) presented a Jubilee Medal to Linda Armstrong of Sleeman, Ontario on Friday.
Linda Armstrong of Sleeman has been involved with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture for many years, and has fostered this involvement to others in the Rainy River District.
“Linda has worked tirelessly and volunteered countless hours over the years to the benefit of the Rainy River District”, said Mr. Rafferty.
The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a new commemorative medal created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a tangible way for Canada to honour Her Majesty for her service to this country. At the same time, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
Rafferty made the presentation at the RRFA annual meeting in Emo.
