Don Kaus, 73

Don Kaus (August 12, 1939 - December 30, 2012)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Don Kaus, on Sunday, December 30 at the age of 73 years.
Don will be lovingly remembered by his wife Tina, of 47 years, his daughter, Susanne Burdz (Walter), his son, Tyson Kaus (Lorraine) and his grandchildren Anthony and Alexa Kaus. He is also survived by his sisters Rose Hanson and Ruth Sandmoen, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and their families. Don was predeceased by his parents and his brother Ewald.
Don was born to Lena and Eric Kaus on August 12, 1939 in Rainy River, Ontario where he grew up and started his 29-year banking career with the CIBC. He was a devoted husband and father who always put his family first. Don especially enjoyed going to the lake, golfing, watching football and spending time with his family.
Don was a very positive person and he was accepting of the many challenges of living with Huntington’s Disease. He spent the last four years of his life at Bethesda Place Personal Care Home where he received excellent care from all the staff.
